Matthew 9:36-38 (GW)
36 When He saw the crowds, He felt sorry for them. They were troubled and helpless like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then He said to his disciples, “The harvest is large, but the workers are few. 38 So ask the Lord who gives this harvest to send workers to harvest his crops.”
Jesus sees people weighed down with the burdens of life. He sees people wandering about not knowing which direction to go. He sees people as sheep that have gone astray, just as sheep do. The Shepherds’ vision involves finding and bringing every lost sheep back into the fold. There are lost people and opportunities to reach them in every community. They must be harvested before they perish.
The harvest belongs to The Shepherd and He reaps the harvest:
- When our congregations pray for the lost.
- When our congregations pray for laborers.
- When our congregations obey His call to go.
- When our congregations sow seeds of faith.
- When our congregations persevere during adversity.
On the first Wednesday of each month, Bridge of Hope CC will have intercessory worship services at 7:00pm. Our congregation will enter into His presence with Praise & Worship, Intercession, and Thanksgiving on behalf of laborers being sent, and the harvest coming in. Come praise and worship Him on behalf of “The Shepherds’ Harvest”.
